Last month I had the pleasure of contributing to U-Create’s simple gifts series. I came up with a super simple cork pendant, and I wear mine -in one form or another- all the time.
It only takes a few minutes and it’s practically free. Two of my favorite things.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Carefully slice the cork into four or five pieces.
2. Arrange the pieces how you’d like and glue the joints on the back side. You may need several coats of cork.
3. Wait for it to dry and attach the pendant to your desired hardware (like a bobby pin, a safety pin, or a screw eye).
So whether it’s a necklace, a hairpin, or a brooch, you’ll love adding this simple accessory.
Just one quick tip: if you’re gluing it to a bobby pin, I’d suggest sliding a piece of wax paper into the bobby pin before gluing to make sure it doesn’t get glued closed. It’s easy to rip away after it dries.
Good Day!!Interesting topic….
Cute! I’ve got corks!!!!
