Last week I gave you a simplified overview of the Introduction to Sewing e-course, and today you’ll get a little feel for the Intermediate Sewing Techniques e-course. Is it new to the site? No newer than the other course, so maybe you’ve already looked through this e-course, but I’d like to highlight my favorite parts of the course for those of you unfamiliar.
10 lessons ranging from reading a pattern to putting in a zipper, this course is meant for those who have already developed the skills taught in the Intro course.
But it isn’t just lessons, there are 7 projects, each correlating with 1 (or 2, or 3…) of the lessons. Some of my favorites?
Fox. This little guy is made of scrap fabrics and buttons, and makes for a great baby or birthday gift.
The closed pillowcases. I can’t stand seeing the pillow form inside the open end of a pillowcase, so this is my quick and easy solution! There is also a gathered version included in the tutorial.
And… one of the most frequently used items in my house, the Asymmetrical Apron. Essentially a square pattern, with buttonholes to make for an adjustable strap.
But that’s just scratching the surface of this e-course! SEE MORE DETAILS HERE.
